Bulma, watching a telecast of the battle from the Kame House, bursts into tears at Yamucha's death — Pu-erh merely faints from the shock. The Turtle Hermit consoles Bulma, saying they can resurrect him with the Dragonballs. Kuririn releases an energy blast that takes out three of the remaining Saibaimen, and Piccolo handles the last one as it lashes out at Gohan.

     The Saiyans, however, come out unscathed! With Vegeta's permission, Nappa then takes on all five of the remaining Z Fighters at once. He first attacks Tenshinhan, severing his left arm with a single chop! Chaozu clings to Nappa's back and, with a telepathic farewell to Tenshinhan, releases all his energy at once, blowing himself up. But not even this can damage the monstrous Saiyan warrior! Goku races against time along the Serpentine Road. Will he make it to Earth before everyone dies?
